In our previous post we talked about how Jeeps are not the same as Pickup Toppers. Sure they have some positive’s against a truck and pickup topper, but for work it’s just not the same.
A station wagon pretending to be a truck with a pickup topper
Some people try to use station wagons like pickup toppers. Check out this picture. It is a station wagon pretending to be a truck with a pickup topper. Sure, it’s a car, and it probably fits into those parking spaces labeled small car only but this is not really working and seems dangerous. Carrying a long load is best done on the top of a pickup topper with the correct roof racks. Using a station wagon as a truck with a pickup topper seems dangerous. That load, if not secured properly could fly off the roof of this car. And that material is drooping over the windshield reducing the visibility of the driver. With a proper pickup truck and pickup topper this would not be a problem.
Take a look at the following photographs of people using other types of vehicles to haul stuff around like a truck with a pickup topper. First we have an SUV or JEEP it looks like. The SUV does ok because this is a short ladder, but you have seats in the way if you want to store a lot of things in the back. If this ladder was longer, a Pickup topper with Roof Racks would allow more space and you would have more room in the pickup bed to place more stuff. I know some people think they can replace a real pickup truck and pickup topper with an SUV because they are smaller and have more seats. But that’s what Quad Cab or Extended Cab trucks are for along with pickup toppers. Some will argue that SUV’s get better gas mileage, but some trucks do as well. And some will say that SUV’s are smaller and easier to navigate in the city. Perhaps that is true, but even a small truck like a Chevy S10 or Ford Ranger with a pickup topper has more room in the back to haul stuff.

Check this out. I was walking on the street and I saw this awesome pickup topper with a QR code on it. One of the great things about having a completely secure Pickup Topper is that it can act as your mobile billboard for your business.
Check this out.
A QR code as advertising on a pickup topper
This is a completely secure pickup topper with locks and no windows. It’s painted white, just like a billboard. Perfect for a QR code to intrigue you to scan it to find out what business it is.
Do you spy what I spy with my little eyes? I see some very nice mags and truck tires in the gray truck down below without a pickup topper. They are there in a busy street left out in the open and unsecure! But if that gray truck had a tonneau cover like the blue truck parked behind it, you would never know what is in the pickup bed. See how much more secure a pickup topper can make your truck?
Take a look at this pickup topper that I found browsing through YouTube. It’s an automated pickup topper lifter! Isn’t it neat? Wouldn’t you like to have something like this to lift up your pickup topper?
Check this out. It’s a pickup topper with a roof rack! And check out the ladders!
pick up topper with roof rack and security lock
This handy addition to a pickup topper completely increases the utility of a vehicle. Also notice how this pickup topper has security
locks to make it hard to break in. This is one of the best types of pickup toppers if you’re in a trade. Not only is there a lot of privacy for your belongings, you also have the utility of a roof rack and you just remove the pickup topper when you require the use of an open pickup bed.
Truck toppers can be made for trucks of any sizes. Including full size trucks. Check out this pickup topper here. Notice how it’s the same color as the truck body and the glass ends somewhere on the roof. It certainly does make this truck look classier.
Ok, for the Chevy folks out there, this one is for you. I’ve found an S10 with a pickup

topper on it. This is not a Leer or A.R.E pickup topper but some brand I’ve never heard of, nor can I recall at this time. It’s still a cool pickup topper on this little S10. So far in this blog, I’ve done a few small trucks, with a Nissan, Ford Ranger and now an S10. These small trucks are great on gas, especially in town. Sure, they may not pull a lot of weight, but they can still haul a load. And with a pickup topper, they just become better looking as well as more functional when you’re not carrying a large load.
